It is half way between train station and ice breaker activity. No need to take a bus from train station. It’s walkable distance. Also hotel is next door to the bus station (to reach other part of the city). And also close to the bridge. (Accross the bridge: a very good supermarket). Finally opposite the hotel a 7 eleven

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Iruka Hotel is set right in front of the ocean in Shiretoko, a world heritage site. Free private parking is available on site. Iruka is a cozy guest house, very clean and great location! All rooms face the ocean. It’s a 15min walk to Utoro roadside station and 20mins to the bus terminal, but the owner/manager was very kind to drop us to the bus stop every morning. The kind lady at the reception was very helpful. She helped us get our luggage from the Yamato service and also shipped our luggage to our next destination. She gave us a room at 6:30am even though checkin is at 3pm. Overall, we had a super experience here. Just felt like home.

Awesome customer service with some goodies that brought me happiness, like mango pudding, good onsen, amenities and fermented milk after onsen. My stay was very pleasant!

Smallish room but had everything we needed, clean & comfortable. Staff were very nice too.
