It’s a little away from the other hotels, but that’s good because it’s quiet. I had an amazing tour guide, Vong, who drive me all over for 2 days. The room was comfortable and clean, and I love the campfire at the common area very much. The rental motorbikes were also in better condition than some of the bikes I saw elsewhere.

The hospitality of the owner and his wife went beyond all expectations, good value , and the very best for organizing trips to the jars etc his wife had a very in-depth knowledge of the area and a fantastic driver , a very professional service all round

Clean and spacious room, no frill hotel, comfortable and large bed, location is not really in the center of town but we love it! It was so quiet and beautiful. The host is wonderful , Bee Sipanya, provided us free shuttle to and from airport; he dropped us off to market and picked us up when we’re done. Do not forget to book the tour with this place, it was well worth it. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

The Hillside Residence is located in Xieng Khouang Province in Northern Laos. Just one km away from the city centre, it offers free parking and peaceful countryside accommodation. What an enchanting and charming place! The hillside residence is just lovely. The family that run it are absolutely delightful and couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. The shower is the BEST!!! The balcony where we had breakfast each day is also a lovely spot to watch the sun go down. There is an excellent restaurant just next door and it’s only a short walk to town. Perfect
