The wonderful place to stay, friendly owner (Nimal), the best rice and curry we've ever tried in Sri Lanka! The room has all basic things you need: comfortable bed and pillows, hot shower with good water pressure, AC. The hotel surrounded by forest, just 2 mins to Sinharaja NP office, but many endemic animals can be seen right from your balcony! I've photographed a couple of grey hornbills (male and female), blue magpie and even purple-faced langurs (thanks to Nimal again!). We've spent just one night there, but it's definitely worth a longer stay if you have enough time to relax in peaceful jungle area. P.S. Inside Sinharaja forest we were guided by Nadika (ask her at the national park office). She's a good guide and even found a pair of Sri Lanka frogmouths for us [you're hardly find these birds yourself ;)]

A recently renovated villa located in Deniyaya, Sinharaja Vini Villa features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. It is a quite place near the entrance to Sinharaja Forest Reserve. We liked the view from our house to jungles and a river a lot. Vini is the host, but works also as a guide and went with us to 12 km tracking up to the hills and waterfalls. The jungles were incredible! Vini's wife cooked for us traditional sri lankan food, it was a bit different then in touristic places and even more interesting for us. We were with a 1 year baby and it was very comfortable to stay at Vini's house. Vini also showed us how to quickly collect a palm's honey from 15m tree). I glad that I met with Vini and his family.

If you are a nature lover,this is the best place you should be.....I spent some wonderful days at Rainforest Mount Villa. The view and landscape is something special-amazing - the villas are right inside the rain forest!!!! And the balcony on the riverbank it was something I really enjoyed. Sarath - the owner of this lovely place, its an amazing man, an excellent jungle guide, professional, generous, and very friendly. It was really nice days that we experienced and we felt right welcome. Finally, there were great tips for our further trip. When we missed the bus just a little, he even drove it miles behind him, so we still get him.

Sinharaja Forest Edge is situated right on the edge of the UNESCO site Sinharaja Rain Forest. The property offers complimentary transportation to the rain forest from Mederipitiya Village. Beautiful setting in the proximity of lush jungle, I really enjoyed the calm of this place! Beautiful nature and swimming pool with jungle views! Cant be closer to the nature than here. Very tasty food in the restaurant and very kind owner who helped us to arrange jungle tour.

Sinharaja Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Deniyaya. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving international cuisine. The forest tour that was organized by the owner was great, we requested for a short tour as our stay was short. Owner was good enough to accommodate our need, thanks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and well versed in English. We loved the peacefulness when it hits dark, the hotel and surrounding were extremely quite, the only noises we heard were the insects and frog, we loved the serenity. Food was good and quick. We loved the location of the open restaurant, it was raining at the time, we got real rain forest experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the hospitality of the staff. There is nothing to complaint. We would definitely go there once again with kids when we can.

Offering a barbecue and views of the mountain, Rainforest Mount Lodge is situated in Deniyaya. Rain Forest Mount lodge is located opposite the main Pitadeniya entrance to the Sinharaja Rain Forest. We loved this accommodation. Amazing view, very relaxing place! The food was delicious!!! We loved the trip into the rain forest! Everything was above expectation. Beautiful family, beautiful business!
