I enjoyed the entire city. Lots to see if you are interested in the old culture. I walked everywhere, including to the El Eden the mine - a must; and to the Teleferico it is worth going across to El Cerro Bufa for the views and the museum of the Revolucion. Mykonos Restaurant is a must. I had some of the best food I have ever eaten anywhere in the world in this restaurant. It is outstanding. I had Gazpacho soup which was delicious, a freshly prepared tortilla, and another day I just had Gnocchi and pesto sauce...which was exceptional. Eat here at least once. I also ate at La Jobita which is inside a hotel, and had a traditional Mexican dish which was superb too. If you don't visit anywhere else in Mexico Zacatecas is a beautiful city and should be on your bucket list.
Zacatecas is a great city. Surprisingly many tourists flock to this hidden gem. Their colonial roots are seen from every direction when you are at the town center from old town buildings to pebble stone streets. Great sight to see day or night. You have interesting attractions like Cerro de la Bufa, the Mines, cable car, art museums, and live events. And all in one place. The people were not a highlight of my trip. However some people are friendly and others are standoffish turning up their nose at eye contact.
Be sure to eat at Los Dorados de Villa (you need a reservation). It is very easy to get around by foot if you stay at centro histórico. If you like a hotel with a nice view, get one on the skirts of the historic center, just be prepared to walk the many stairs. Outside of Zacatecas, don't forget to visit the archeological site of La Quemada and the small town of Jerez.
The museums were incredible! We particularly loved the Museo de Rafael Coronel and Pedro Coronel. Also the Museo de Zacatecas with the its floor dedicated to the huicholes was fascinating!!! We didn't stay in the Hotel las Quintas, but we enjoyed dinner there in its restaurant. It's lovely and the view is unbeatable.
We had too little time to explore all the wonders of Zacetecas. The old town is beautiful. The atmosphere soulful. The people friendly and vibrant. As with most places in Mexico, the food is good except if you are vegetarian. Would definitely recommend Zacatecas for a visit if you are in the neighbourhood.
Zacatecas is full of history. It's a city with excellent weather, eye-catching arquitecture, good food but most of all very friendly and warm people. A visit to cerro de la bufa, La catedral, and all of its museums it's a must!
Zacatecas is a beautiful city at night. It's essentially empty and closed up during the daytime. I walked thruout the city well into afternoon - mid week and nearly everything was boarded up and closed. After 6pm it's a different place.
Recommend a visit to the silver mine, tour (in English) was interesting and informative and well worth doing. It is very easy to get around Zacatecas, we took a bus out to Guadaloupe also worth doing. Downside the funicular was out of action.
Zacatecas is a city that welcomes you immediately. Sightseeing, architecture, legends, everything makes a difference but the most heartfelt thing to consider is the hospitality of the local people. If you go there on a weekend, make sure you hit the streets at night and enjoy the nightly "callejoneada", a walking tour being serenaded by musical bands that play folk and enjoy a sip of mezcal. A local tradition!
It is very easy to get around Zacatecas, we take a touribus and it was perfect because it include a little explanation of the center of Zacatecas, they take us to the bufa, and the eden's mine. We ate in a restaurant name Doña Julia that make gorditas.
One of a kind hotel in the beautiful city of Zacatecas. What a treat to stay in this hotel that was built on an old bull ring dating back to the 1850’s. The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant had excellent dishes, and the bar built in the old bull pen was so cool. I have never taken so many pictures of a hotel in my life. The hotel is centrally located to the plaza that has restaurants, shops, museums, and much more. If you are in Zacatecas you have to experience this hotel at least for one night.
I'd say this hotel met my expectations. I loved the style of the rooms, especially the sink. The staff were also super helpful to me when it came to exploring the city and getting a connection to my onward destination. Also, the location is perfect, right in the heart of beautiful Zacatecas!
The best location for a hotel in the city center of Zacatecas… Great breakfast with very fresh food on the buffet and beverages. Clean room and bathroom, super comfortable bed. Will recommend it to everyone without even a second thought
Size of room, bed, furnishings, all very good. Difficult to fin though. google maps takes you to the wrong side of the hotel and downtown Zacatecas is difficult to navigate. They had to come and find us and drove us there.
How clean, friendly and just exceptional stay. Love the location and the restaurants around it. Is our go to hotel every time we visit Zacatecas. Just love it.
Beautiful Hotel. Loved the swimming pool and gardens. Zacatecas is Beautiful ❤️

The staff in the bar area were great. Especially Martin, who shared history of the city and hotel. This was our second stay here!!
The hotel has nice appearance and is located in a convenient place close to downtown. Staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable although working at the desk was not too good.
Nice service. Close to everywhere we needed to go.
Comfortable stay. PS The place is actually a motel. Nothing wrong with that, it's just for the sake of accuracy. It's also listed as a motel on gmaps.
The room was spacious and at a good price.
