Van der Valk Hotel Hoorn is located next to motorway A7 and offers accommodations with free WiFi. Alkmaar is 24 km away. It's a 4-star hotel, but it's actually 5-star luxury. It's part of a larger complex that includes a casino, a restaurant, and probably other facilities that I didn't visit. The room is super clean, quite spacious, and very quiet with a great view on a wide green area. The bathroom was very nice, with a shower and a bath tub. My baby enjoyed her private swimming pool immensely! The location is just off the highway so it's very easy to reach. I also took the car for a 6m drive to a Halal restaurant, so the city is just a few minutes of driving. The Wi-Fi was open, no password needed. This is really convenient. The breakfast was superb. Very spacious restaurant and enough variety to satisfy all tastes. It's also available till 10:30, which is unusual (usually till 9:30 or 10:00 in most hotels I've been to). All in all, I'm definitely coming back in case I come back to Hoorn.

Hotel Iselmar is located in Lemmer, between the Frisian Lakes and the IJsselmeer. The hotel has a number of facilities, including a swimming pool and bowling lanes. It offers free WiFi access. The breakfast each day surpassed our expectations! The buffet breakfast offered so many food choices it was quite incredible! From smoked fish to eggs, granola, meat, bread, fruit among other foods. The room was very large and comfortable with a well set out bathroom. The hotel is right on the marina so a great place to view the water and all the boating activities daily. The hotel is an easy walk to the dyke and walking to the town of Lemmer itself and to the UNESCO Woudegemaal pumping station nearby. Many cute cages and restaurants in Lemmer nearby along with beautiful canals. A fun stay which surpassed our expectations.

Rob is very dynamic host & always there at the time of breakfast to help you within minute with whatever you need! No hassle for checkout either, it was completely seamless as well. The hotel being located just next to harbor will provide you enough flexibility to plan visiting the places according to your plan. If you have plan for exploring unique shops & different cuisines, the main shopping street & the centrum is just at stones throw! Hoorn being a small beautiful city, you could have ample options to explore & use the long summer days very productively as this hotel is so centrally located giving enough of flexibility to reach out to every point of attraction within minutes. I would definitely look forward to come back here in future! Its location is a bonus for every kind of travelers who come to Hoorn.
