We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

The location was great as it’s on the way and not at one end of Sognefjellet. The view was beautiful. Great starting point for walks. The food was fantastic. Great chef! The staff and owner were available and helpful, and ensure I had anything I needed. The room was simple and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The fireplace in the lobby area was great.

A group of young cows lived kind of freely on the mountain and it was so lovely to see them grazing right on the other side of the fence around the cabin. Loved it!
