Located in Randsverk in the Oppland Region, 46 km from Gålå, Lemonsjø Fjellstue og Hyttegrend features a terrace and views of the mountain. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice deck to sit outside. Bath had a huge bathtub for an after hike soak. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious

This former farm is in picturesque Lom, close to Jotunheim National Park. It offers traditional Norwegian food, Galdhøpiggen Mountain views and excellent hiking opportunities. We stayed here after a long day climbing in Jotunheimen NP, which is only about a 30-minute drive away. This unique hotel comprises a complex of beautiful, historic buildings within a stunning mountainous setting. You can see that a lot of effort has gone into the preservation of its history including maintaining original furnishings, the art and decor, and the historic items used there. We stayed in a restored schoolroom - it was cosy, clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed bathing in a wooden tub! The toiletries were plentiful and lovely. We paid extra for the dinner and it was absolutely divine - fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. (They also kindly accommodated my pescetarian dietary preferences!). The breakfast was also plentiful, diverse and delicious - many of the breakfast items were handmade (including the pastries and jams!), which is so rare these days. After breakfast, you were encouraged to make sandwiches to take for your lunch which was very kind. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.

Turtagrø Hotel has traditions dating back to the 1880s. This hotel is located 884 meters above sea level, at the foot of Vest-Jotunheimen. This is a fantastic location with some of the more interesting hiking and climbing routes in Norway, near the Jotunheimen Nasjonalpark. We choose the accomodation in the "Swiss chalet" and this allow us to save a lot of money :-) without losing the magnificence of the place and additional services provided by the hotel like for example the very good dinner (one of the best we have in Norway). The Chalet is really beautiful and extremely functional. Clean and full of services, like the shower and the drying room.

Overlooking Lake Øvre Sjodalsvatnet, Bessheim Fjellstue offers an in-house restaurant and accommodation with mountain views and private bathrooms. The Gjende Boat departs 5.5 km away. The location of the cabin is amazing, it is inside the park and the hiking trails start directly from there (the famous Besseggen ridge is very close as well). The cabin was very spacious and clean, there is a small table in front with the view of the river. The staff was very helpful in giving us advices for hiking trails and motor roads.

Overlooking the Sognefjord, this hotel in central Skjolden offers an in-house restaurant, free parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The 12th-century Urnes Stave Church is 30 km away. The Skjolden Hotel was the high point of my trip. I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

This family-owned mountain lodge is set in the Bøverdal Valley, 25 km from Jotunheimen National Park. It offers an in-house restaurant, private art gallery and individually decorated rooms. The common areas are very comfortable. The outdoor areas were also nice, lots of flowers.

Set in a late 1800s wooden building, this countryside hotel is in Hindseter, 60 km from Otta. The hotel restaurant serves Nordic cuisine with local produce. The hotel is located in the middle of the Jotunheimen natural reserve park and has several hiking trips starting right outside the door. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the beer list is amazing and long, dinners are outstanding. This place is literally perfect!

Nestled in the town of Lom between the Jotunheimen and Reinheimen National Parks, Nordal Turistsenter is built in a traditional rustic style with light and modern interiors. Beautiful view, excellent food, very nice stuff
