The B&B was so cozy it was so nice and peaceful after a long trip in NZ that was what I needed. The little things like having some homemade jam and bread was delicious. We absolutely loved the privacy, scenery, and overall quality of this B&B! Nestled in the countryside of the Matamata region, this cozy little studio-type location has a breathtaking view of rural New Zealand as the sun comes rising above the mountains just a few kilometers away. As a photographer I'm always on the lookout for quaint locations that I can take stunning portraits, and for this stay I didn't have to go any further than the garden at the back of the property. I can not recommend staying here enough and can't wait for our return visit in a few years!

This is a top rate B&B whether you are staying a few nights or just passing through . It’s ideally suited to visit the Hobbiton film set and the town has lots of options for eating. The studio is equipped and furnished to a very high standard and quality . A lot of care has obviously been taken to ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay . After 18 nights touring South Island and nearly as many B&Bs( all of which were good ) this was the nicest so far . You can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome . Very highly recommended .

Walnut Lodge B&B offers accommodation in Matamata. Every room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and features a flat-screen TV. Our hosts were wonderful. Friendly but let us hav our space and so helpful even giving us a lift into town for our event so we didn't have to drive in and could relax and enjoy the night. The breakfast delivered each afternoon for the next day swas simple but really nice.

Central Motor Lodge is located on Morrinsville's main street within 250 metres of local shops, restaurants and bars. Accommodation options include spacious rooms and stylish suites with modern décor. The room was spacious. Defined lounge and tv area, dining, bed and kitchen. Bathroom was also large with plenty of room. Friendly staff.

Located in the centre of Matamata, this motel offers a swimming pool and a hot tub. All rooms offer a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Great location and cute hotel! The room was very large and we appreciated all the amenities.
