Gardens are immaculate. The room was luxury in every respect. Our time here was special. The hosts are wonderful. We will come again.

Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell. This is great stay specially with kids. It's got a games room and two swimming pools overlooking the front beach. The Restaurants, shops and peer is with in walking distance. A big up for housekeeping and the beds are a bliss to sleep on. I love the fact that our room has a communal basin (kitchen and bathroom Basin) outside the bathroom and that the toilette is separate from our bathroom which incl a shower and a bath. Reception and night staff is always available and very helpful will surely visit again when exploring the Bay of Islands.

Location by the marina. Excellent, spacious room, new furniture, clean, quiet, good shower. AC was working well. Good selection of programs on TV including major US news channels. Good wifi. Good restaurant at the ground floor, with patio. Generally a quiet, peaceful place to unwind and relax.

Just 2 minutes’ drive from Whangarei Airport, Comfort Hotel Flames Whangarei features a swimming pool, tropical gardens and a restaurant. Most rooms have harbour views. Guests enjoy free WiFi. Everything about this accommodation is just perfect, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, from the entrance, the lovely little bar, the beautiful large dining area, the outside open lounging area to the very large, very comfortable rooms. We were in an upstairs room, with a very comfortable king size bed, desk area, small table and chairs, gleaming bathroom with lovely bath and shower over plus very comfortable outside private deck with table and chairs looking out to the magnificent view. We dined in the lovely dining room, chose fish and lamb for our mains, both cooked to perfection. We can't speak highly enough of this accommodation and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Whangarei.

Lupton Lodge features free gourmet breakfast and free Wi-Fi for all accommodation. Each luxurious room provides guests with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and bathrobes. The breakfast was excellent and a highlight of our trip. It was great to be able to eat at the same location. The lodge was lovely. It felt far more relaxed and homely than staying at a hotel or motel.

Paihia Beach Resort & Spa offers luxury boutique accommodation just 20 metres from picturesque Te Tii beach. I loved how friendly the staff were. The facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
