Wonderful secluded beach cottage in forest setting 15 minutes south of Punakaiki. Pleasant 10 minute walk to beach. All necessary conveniences with comfortable bed and well-stocked kitchenette. Nice hot tub a minute walk away, shared with the other nearby cottage.

We actually arrive late and miss the sunset at night, however when we wake up in the morning and open the door, omg worth it! Breathtaking sea view with bird song, also the SPA pool with just perfect water temperature, what a morning!

Experience award winning architecture in a forest setting, 4 km from the famous Pancake Rocks. Punakaiki Forest Retreat is a private holiday home offering free WiFi. The location is stunning. The property was spotless and stylish. It made a great base for our short visit to the West Coast. Would stay there again.

The layout, the sunset look out, the access to the river, the bedrooms, kitchen and lounge all were perfect. I proposed to my partner at their sunset lookout, it was perfect. Also the owners were super nice and made us feel very welcome.
