It was really beautiful place, different from any hotel I've ever been to, and different in good way. Close to nature with animals, kitchen to cook in. Super tasty breakfasts. It was magical place, will stay there again.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel was something special. The staff greeted us with warmth and genuine smiles, instantly making us feel welcomed and valued. Their friendliness and eagerness to cater to our every need were unparalleled, making our stay not just comfortable but truly delightful. Dining here was an experience in itself. Despite being a bit away from the city's hustle, the hotel offered a gastronomic adventure that easily surpassed local tourist spots in Bocas Town, both in quality and price. Each dinner was a surprise with a different menu, showcasing a variety of delicious, well-crafted dishes that left us eagerly anticipating the next meal. The affordability of these gourmet experiences was the cherry on top, providing exceptional value for money. The hotel's design ingeniously balances social interaction and private tranquility. The communal areas invite engaging conversations with fellow travelers, creating a sense of community among guests. Simultaneously, numerous secluded nooks offer peaceful sanctuaries for those moments when you just want to lose yourself in a good book by the beach. This harmonious blend makes the hotel ideal for both couples seeking romance and groups of friends looking for a shared adventure. The view of Bird Island from the hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. Its beauty serves as a constant reminder that you are staying in one of the world's most picturesque locations. For the adventurous spirit, the hotel provides kayaks for exploring the serene ocean. However, the staff’s wisdom in advising on weather conditions underscores their commitment to guest safety. They remind us that while the ocean's beauty is mesmerizing, respect for nature's unpredictability is paramount. The Hummingbird is the real Paradise on Earth. When we travel we like to explore and experience as many things as possible, but it is also very important for us to have an accomodation with comfort and… I admit: luxury. I was curious if a bed and breakfast place can satisfy our needs, but it did, and it did much more. The Hummingbird was a much pleasant experience than the many 5star luxury resorts we stayed so far. Its beautiful garden is the garden of Eden with hummingbirds, sloths and a colorful carpet of thousand flowers. Our suite was super clean and extra comfortable with a breathtaking view of the garden and the sea (if we opened the balcony doors in the morning the sun did rise right in our bed). The place also has the best kitchen I experienced in a hotel so far with a fantastic breakfast and various choices for dinner made right there freshly. The menu changes daily. We also had a top10 massage experience in this beautiful environment. This amazing place has its soul and spirit from the wonderful hosts, Betsy and Gary, who are super-friendly and always smiling, and they helped us organizing any kind of activity we just wished for. Their whole team is just exceptional. So… this is a place everyone should visit! At least once. We for sure will come back again because we already miss The Hummingbird and the many wonders of Bocas del Toro. ❤️

This place and it's people really deserve some praise! Hard to even start to explain what an incredible experience staying there was. Starting from the pick-up with a boat by Elke (hope this is how you write his name) and some bubbles along the way and the most helpful and detail oriented staff I have ever seen. Beautiful place, location, activities and ofcourse the food by the amazing chefs. Everything was so personalised. Special thanks to Franco at the beachbar for creating good cocktails and chill atmosphere with his guitar, Sebastian who knew exactly where to find dolphins on our sunset boat ride and the chefs for getting us the most delicious lobster we've ever eaten! Cannot recommend this place enough (although almost feeling like I'd like to keep this place a secret because it's too special 😂).

The owners and managers made us feel so welcome, like family. We were able to kayak each day and we loved seeing the wildlife, monkeys, sloths and of course dolphins. The resort is in a beautiful bay with lovely views. The meals were delicious.

Urraca Private Island Bocas del Toro offers a gourmet on-site restaurant and over-the-water bungalows, each with a private deck, terrace, shower with hot water, and ocean views. What a paradise! Urraca is everything you'd want in a tropical eco lodge. The food is amazing, the water surrounding the island is calm and clear, and Francine (the owner) is lovely. We enjoyed kayaking around the island and of course the monkeys.
