The front desk person speaks really good English. Way way better than any other places I’ve stayed that tells me they speak little English. Was able to give me information on a lot things. Was missing hair dryer just needed to ask the front for one. Location easy to find and steps away from the ruin entrance. Hot water comes out in 30 secs with good pressure. The night could be a little cold like any other places in Peru I’ve stayed so far. Had the option for scrambled eggs which was nice.

The Saska Boutique Hotel is like an oasis to arrive at after a long bus ride from Arequipa. We were welcomed with care on arrival to a is meticulously kept hotel, where all facilities are clean, modern and fresh. Most importantly for us was the quietness of the room which was soundproofed and backed onto a garden courtyard, including all we needed. Cusco is fresh at night but they have extra blankets and a heater and the morning sun heats things up quickly. The breakfast was by far the best breakfast we have had in Peru so far. And the staff always helpful in answering any questions. Thank you Saska Boutique Hotel for your warm welcome to Cusco. We look forward to staying with you again!

Kahvaltı biraz zayıf ama fiyat dengesine bakınca çok beklentiye girmemek lazım. Salkantay turuna katıldığımız da bagajlarımızı muhafaza ettiler ücretsiz şekilde bunun için de teşekkür ediyoruz. Cusco bölgesinde sadece konum sıkıntısı olan çok güzel bir otel. 700 metre meydana yürüyüş çok yorucu değil.

The hotel is soooo cute, an old beautiful building with a character. I loved the location, which is in the center of Cusco. We loved the restaurant and we didn’t want to eat anywhere else. The staff was amazing, they help you with everything. The only little thing was a bed which was not so comfortable. But overall it is a beautiful hotel and I highly reccommend it!

I stayed here with my sister for one week. We are Australians and in our thirties. We absolutely loved our time at Casa Cartegena. The staff were so welcoming and made great recommendations about local restaurants (food is incredible in Cusco). We really enjoyed our breakfast each morning in the tranquil garden (recommend the crepes!), and each evening Pisco sours together with delicious snacks were delivered to our room. Beds were very comfortable and made up each day, complete with chocolate on the pillow. One of the most enjoyable hotel stays of our lives!

We originally booked on booking.com at a very high price and kept looking and got a much better deal.....so I'd suggest if you're paying approx $250 USD it's a good deal. Food was great, grounds are immaculate (loved the 🦜 & all the 💐's), pool was nice and cold but great when in the sun for abit! We were there 2 nights/ 3 days for the sole purpose of relaxing and that's sure what we did. As mentioned in prior reviews, we found Peruvian families on site using the facilities and their clothing everywhere by the pool and grounds...maybe lockers should be provided for this. Only 6 lounge chairs by the pool, so not really good in that sense when hotel guests who are paying can't even get access. Also tables to put drinks on would be good (I think I also only saw 1 of those and again occupied by non-hotel guests). It would be nice if they had the theatre in English as well maybe at a different time. We couldn't get the TV to work really nor in English even after the maintenance guy came. We had several mosquitoes in the room upon check in, however was quickly rectified with a call to the desk and a lady came to spray and put plug ins. Woukd have been nice if we had clean chairs outside on the balcony for morning coffee (they were covered in bird poop) so we layed towels down on them as they were a tad tough to get clean. Yolanda at breakfast was exceptional. Went above and beyond for Us. We were also celebrating our Anniversary and they added a little nice touch to Our room upon arrival. We found it very clean, quiet, great food (make sure to save room for the Aranwa Experience desert....it's exceptional and have your phone ready for a video!). We had a pisco sour demonstration and it was awesome as we made our own & then got to consume them. They were delicious!!.

We had a very relaxing stay- we had planned for one night, but extended it to two nights as we enjoyed the property so much The rooms/cabins are very large/ Nice bathrooms and beds with patios We ate all of our meals there and enjoyed all of them (I am vegetarian and liked all of my options/ my husband who is not vegetarian also equally enjoyed the meals) They have a few activities each day, we enjoyed a short hike and learned about the local community, plants and birds In the afternoon, they have a nice tea time with small snacks- For planning- it takes 1.5 hours from the airport/ plan a ride in advance- it is about $50 for a couple from Cusco The local area has a few popular tourist places to visit though we did not take advantage of these as we just enjoyed staying there The Sacred Valley was an adjustment in altitude for us (we are from Nebraska) and it was nice to acclimate there, before staying in Cusco and ultimately hiking the Salkantay trail.
