A very special place. Ventozelo left us a wonderful feeling of nature and belonging. The hotel is super classy, nicely decorated and with nice well thought details. The breakfast is World class: been to Dubai, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan (lived here), London and currently live in Seattle, and did not have better than this super tasty breakfast. The infinite swimming pool and corresponding is breathtaking.

The Wine House - Quinta da Pacheca din Lamego este un hotel luxos, situat în inima regiunii Douro, fiind înconjurat de terenuri private extinse, cu podgorii. Upmarket, beautiful location and very comfortable. The staff were wonderful, the wine barrel experience was first class and we had a great dinner on the balconey of the restaurant with beautiful views.

Pousada De Viseu is a grand 19th-century building in the city of Viseu. It offers spacious rooms, spa facilities, and outdoor swimming pools. De Viseu rooms have parquet floors and modern furnishings.... We simply loved our stay at Pousada de Viseu.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. An incredible property. We were just driving through so we only stayed one night, but I would love to return for longer. I think it would make a great base to explore the Douro. The room was spacious and simple. Great linens, lovely bath products. The pool is stunning with a view of the valley. Big, well-appointed fitness center. Gorgeous spa (that I didn't have time to use, sadly.) Fantastic restaurant-- we enjoyed dinner and breakfast, and both were quite good.

In the Serra da Estrela Mountains, this Manteigas hotel offers guest rooms with balconies overlooking forest landscapes of Serra da Estrela . We were made to feel very welcome. Everyone was friendly. The place is warm and cosy. The room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony and that is what we got.
