Dit designhotel op het eiland Graciosa kijkt uit over de baai van Porto da Barra en bevindt zich op 5 minuten lopen van het strand van Porto Da Barra. The staff at the Inatel were very professional. Offering suggestions on where to eat and how to best get around. As we did not speak Portuguese, everyone spoke English and assisted us with the many questions we had. We were told of a taxi who would take us on a tour, as we wanted to experience and see the island of Graciosa. What spectacular views and the driver Sonia was so knowledgeable about the many sights and sounds we heard. Our room was spotless, and although there were four of us, they enough linens and pillows for us to sleep on. The Breakfast was more than adequate, in fact it was our favourite. The variety of fruits, cereals, juices and not to mention the coffee. Wow! we had so much to choose from. The cheese and bread was exactly how it was previously described to us. I must also mention that the two waitresses performed their duties with pride and most important a smile. As we had travelled from Bermuda, they like others were curious as to which country we came from. How pleasant the ladies were and very kind. I will admit, that our children enjoyed the pool, and us as adults, loved the views, animals and the broad walk. Inatel management had taken great lengths to see that our stay was enjoyable and without incident. Thank you ! and well done Inatel, I will be recommending this hotel to our family and friends. Het had ook een goed uitgeruste keuken. Tevens is er een ruim terras waar je kan eten/koken. Het ontbijt, dat werd klaargezet door Isabel, was meer dan voldoende. Perfect.

Quinta Perpetua, Casa Corvo is gelegen in Alto do Sul en biedt gratis fietsen, een tuin en een terras. A small hidden Gem in Graciosa. Quiet and sereen. Out the door just to the right and you coups walk up the Caldeira. Fantastic garden with view at Sao Jorge, Pico (when the weather is clear) and Faial. And breakfast was the perfect start of the day. The location was easily accessed and on a quieter part of the island. Although still within a short walk of a supermarket and taxi stands. The grounds and views are incredible. The cottages are newly renovated and in excellent upkeep. The location receives ocean breezes and was very comfortable during the time of our stay. The arrangement of the cottages provides for ample privacy. Kitchen facilities and refrigerator are a plus. Our hosts were kind and made us feel welcome from the start, checked in on us while not being intrusive.

We could even live in it happily! It has everything you need and more, for example, mountains of closet space and lots of coat hangers. But more importantly, it is the whole package that makes it such a lovely place to stay. The views over to Pico Mountain and the sea are beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous with so many different spots for relaxing. I loved the hammocks. Karen and Steffen are such hospitable hosts, helping out with so many things, such as making sure we used the bikes, providing some breakfast supplies when we arrived late on a Sunday, and even doing some washing for us. The lovely patio was perfect for evening meals. We did some lovely walks to, and around the caldera which is close by.This property so exceeded our expectations and we would come back in a heartbeat.
