Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Chez Bure - Bure Homestay is located in Kanchanaburi, a 10-minute walk from The Bridge of the River Kwai and 3.1 km from The Jeath War Museum. We really enjoyed our stay at Chez Bure. The room was large, super clean and had everything we needed. The owner of the guest house was really nice, helpful and friendly. Complimentary water, tea, coffee and snacks were provided at the reception. The location was good too, very close to shops, bars, cafes, etc. There was a cafe a 2 minute walk away. We had a really good time and will stay here again for sure when we come back to Kanchanaburi 😊

Set peacefully by Kwai Noi River, River Kwai Jungle Rafts offers ecologically friendly floating accommodation surrounded by tropical greenery. fabulous hotel in a wonderful jungle type environment based on the river Kwai close to a Mon village settlement . rooms are bamboo themed huts with a hammock and sun lounger right outside your front door which faces on to the river & a balcony at the back which faces towards the mon village ... the room was a decent size and was clean and comfortable dinner & breakfast was included in the price both were well prepared and served , with good eating options for both breakfast and dinner also they provide after dinner entertainment for a separate charge i reallly enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again

I recommend to everyone and will never forget that experience. Very close to Erawan waterfalls, but we preferred to stay in our room and enjoy the view…

Kanchanaburi has obvious historical significance for WWII...
Kanchanaburi has obvious historical significance for WWII enthusiasts and families of the men who perished here constructing the railway. Visitors will find museums and an information centre. There is the famous railway bridge built over the River Kwae (note pronunciation) which visitors are free to walk on. It's on the network so you can stand and watch the trains rumble across or climb aboard at the station nearby and head up to Hell Fire Pass. Or you can the view resorts, temples and restaurants from the river, zooming down on a long tail boat. The Kwae River Road (soi mare nam kwae) is the place to go for eating and live music and (girlie) bars. Just don't walk down the street with your shirt off gents, Thais find it very offensive. 'The Strip' as it's called also has great conversation and a broad mix of travelers. Getting around is easy and cheap and there are many tours to be found covering the waterfalls and forests of Kanchanaburi Province. There are a wide range of resorts, hotels and guest houses here which should fit anyone's budget.
