Seabreeze @ Koh Mak has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Ko Mak. The 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. Really enjoyed our 5-day stay here and could have remained indefinitely. The pool and view is excellent, view from the rooms, very spacious, good air conditioning, warm water, able to rent a motorbike directly at the resort, and good breakfast with choices. The owner, Pepe, was present and enjoyed chatting with him. Rented a kayak down the road (at his partner’s resort) and had a great trip out to Koh Rayang.

Offering direct access to beautiful Ao Kratueng Beach, Makathanee Resort is located on the island of Koh Mak. Guestrooms and the outdoor pool are set within tropical landscaped gardens. I love the staff and how they took care of me to make my stay special. Nicest people ever. Thank you for giving me rides to the other parts of the island and for running such a friendly resort. Set in Ko Mak, 1.9 km from Ao Soun Yai Beach, Hidden Beach Resort offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Hidden Beach resort nailed it on every level for our 10-day family stay. A perfect balance of comfort and chill vibes. Nothing but excellent things to say about this little slice of paradise. Jake and his wonderful team were the consummate hosts and they made our stay perfect in every way.

Set in Ko Mak, 600 metres from Ao Soun Yai Beach, Hanoii House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Fantastic accommodation on Koh Mak. The rooms are great, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and toiletries. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden in front of the rooms where you can sit and sunbathe. It is walking distance from the speedboat pier from Koh Chang, though the hotel staff will meet you at the pier and bring you to the accommodation. You can walk to lots of restaurants, cafes, massage and kiosks from here. Cheap and easy scooter rental from the accommodation also. Overall, it is a great base to explore the island, where it is quiet, central and also away from the sand flies at the beaches.

Boasting a private beach along Suanyai Bay, Seavana Koh Mak Beach Resort features an outdoor pool, soothing massage treatments, and beach facilities services. Stayed in one of 6 beachfront suites for 6 nights. Picked up by staff at Ao Nid Pier on arrival and driven to Makathanee Pier after checking out. Firstly all staff (reception and restaurant) are courteous and helpful. They surprised me with special “treats” on my 60th birthday. Definitely the highlight of our stay. The beachfront villa is comfortable, quiet and spacious and clean. We didn’t use the jacuzzi but I love the upstairs lounge area which, like the bedroom downstairs, has an uninterrupted view of the beach, ocean and Koh Mak. The only sound is the calm waves. Staff clean the beach daily. Two lounge chairs at the back facing the klong provide a different view to enjoy. We used the happy-hour bar for cocktails and good sushi. Love to lounge there on bean bags. Breakfast at Daybed Restaurant, which is included, offers 6 different entrees, fresh fruits, yogurts, breads/nice jams (passionfruit especially) and coffee/tea. We had 4 dinners there and they didn’t disappoint. Service is excellent. Menu has extensive choices. Local Thai desserts are a must to try. The pool is refreshing but we swam at the beach mostly. We borrowed masks and snorkels at the reception. Beach is quite shallow but we saw some coral fish. Kayaks are free to rent for first couple of hours. You could rent motorbikes to roam around the small island but we rented a golf cart. However, the resort is within walking distance to Koh Mak Resort (to access Koh Kham by small boat), Cococape Resort (to access Blue Pearl Bar at the private pier for sunset and snorkeling many coral fish)and Ao Khao (to access the beach, restaurants/cafes, minimarts, shops and pharmacy). We enjoyed our stay at this resort.

Offering a garden and garden view, Koh Mak Garden View is located in Ko Mak, 2.3 km from Ao Soun Yai Beach and less than 1 km from Police Station. The accomodation , the staff and the surrounding flowers , trees and environment are second to none. Zero noise and waste pollution . An extra bonus is a good and affordable resto as well as a grocery less then 50 meter away. This place and the whole island is a dream for people who want to escape mass tourism.

Boasting river views, Koh Mak Living offers accommodation with balcony, around 2.5 km from Police Station. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. Amazing clean and modern bungalows. Very private and lots of space.

Located in Ko Mak and only 1.7 km from Police Station, The Hut Koh Mak Sea View provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. If you're considering a trip to Koh Mak, this is your ideal stay! Nestled right on Oh Nid Pier, this delightful hut is just a three-minute walk from where you arrive and offers stunning beachfront views. You can listen to the soothing sounds of the waves all day—it’s incredibly relaxing and chill. The location is excellent since the island is small, allowing you to reach any destination within a maximum of 15 minutes on a motorbike. This place offers privacy and a personal retreat when you want to step back from the communal island life. The facilities truly stand out. Upon arrival, I was captivated by the expansive outdoor area, which includes a large patio right on the beach and a spacious balcony with a big dining table (perfect for game nights and inviting new friends over). There’s even an outdoor bed to relax on after a day at the beach. The room itself is quite large, comfortable, and surrounded by big windows that offer panoramic sea views. The bathroom is adequately sized with hot water, and basic toiletries are provided. The kitchen is well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave, dishes, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Moreover, the landlady, So (Natida), is wonderful. Booking this place not only means a great stay but also getting to know So. She goes above and beyond—from arranging bike rentals delivered right to your door to handling your laundry and maintaining the cleanliness of the hut. So is always there for her guests, genuinely caring about your experience and offering help whenever needed. She's truly a special person. Note that I initially planned to stay for 14 days and ended up extending it to 45 days. That’s how perfect this place and the island are!

The owner and her assistant (a very nice guy, unfortunately I don't remember his name) are very kind. This guy gave us a lot of useful tips on restaurants and made our stay on Koh Mak better. We rented a motorbike for 200 baht per day and at the end of our stay the owner took us to the boat and arranged everything. Thank you very much. PS: I must also highlight that you have very comfortable beds.

We loved our stay here! Jake’s shakes and coconut coffees are awesome. Ultra relaxed atmosphere! The bungalows are really beautiful, lots of wood. Shower is great, with rain shower and massage head. The bed is awesome! Comfiest bed in Thailand, with a spectacular view. Also the food on Koh Mak is so fresh and delicious, why is no one talking about that!
Ko Mak
Truly the most upmarket place on Koh Mak. Breakfast was perfect and the beds were comfy what is pretty rare in Thailand. Within 10 days we stayed in both the standard and the beach front Sala Villa. Both rooms were stylish decorated and super spacious. Big thanks to Naszi. She was very kind and we could contact her anytime for any request.
Family room was exceptionally spacious, bed fine. Breakfasts good. Location - beach pretty narrow, but very wide just 200 m away. Views stunning! At the back of our hotel was a nice street with restaurants - pretty "busy" as for small island that Koh Mak is - it was very nice and fun. Staff very friendly and helpful.
A nice, basic bungalow on a beautiful natural beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent with short walk to local bars/restaurants in best area of Koh Mak in my opinion. All in all a very nice place but a few extras would have made it perfect.
Ko Mak
Great location, great hotel, very large rooms with lots of extras, all villas are Seaview, good food, free use of kayaks. Great snorkeling at koh kham and around koh mak
We had a large room, clean, swimming pool was nice and decent maintained park. Location easy as most places are in the small Koh Mak of course!
This is one review I kind of don’t want to write as we want to keep this gem to ourselves. The place is utterly fantastic. From the location right by a marvelous beach, to the bungalows with their own rooftop terrace, to the wonderful staff who simply could not have been more helpful, I simply can’t find anything negative to say. Bravo.
Koh Mak resort is a lovely place conveniently located right by the pier which is handy when you arrive or leave or take a boat to neighbouring Koh Kham island . we have found lot of new Thai friends here who made us feel very special . the manager who calls herself Sauce is lovely and very accommodating, helpful and efficient . anything we needed , she assisted promptly and always had a smile on her face . restaurant and bar staff became practically like a family to us on the first day . my daughter took special shine to a barman called Mr Nu and followed him everywhere. he was very attentive and kind to her throughout our stay . they all were . when we were leaving , they walked us to the pier and hugged us and waved goodbye . to be honest we didn’t want to leave and we’re so sad to leave them behind . the resort is lovely and the rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage space . plus they are right on the beautiful beach . Koh Mak Resort also has a little shop on the premises . there is an old lady called Attiya that runs it and she is like a grandma anybody would want . so sweet and always had a kind words for us and my daughter , even gave us some free gifts from her lovely shop . make sure you’d pop in to say hello . we also bought few things there , she has some lovely clothes for sale :) The beach is lovely and when the tide is out you can walk to the furthest end towards Turtle Beach , just beware of stray dogs that are often moving in packs .Take a coconut or sharp rock in case they get aggressive , they usually scamper off fast when you threaten them with it and shout Pai in a loud voice ! we loved Koh Mak resort , everything about this place was amazing and we felt super welcome throughout our stay there . we would definitely be back !
Exactly as pictured. Simple room right on the beach. Room was clean and the property is very well maintained. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. I liked everything about this resort and would stay there again. Very peaceful.
Its filthy rooms are clean, the complex is rotting
Beautiful clean room overlooking the ocean. Loved watching sunrise from the balcony and then snorkeling in the coral reef. Perfect!
loneliness no noise no ppl, very romantic, the pool is incredible, room is absolutely perfect
So beautiful amazing amenities the sweetest staff 10/10 five stars!
The hole place is amazing especially the food
I loved being on the quiet side of the island, easy enough to ride a bike to the action Food was excellent for a vegetarian, sure the meat and seafood great too, but I would t know! Room was so well designed. Views amazing! Wish was a way to access the water for swimming, would be only thing would have liked to swim more easily Just loved the room! Stayed all over Koh Mak and your place my fav room!
simple but clean and spacious room. All rooms have a little balcony where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. You get exactly what they advertise. The bad reviews are not justified! It's a bit off the grid but they rent out scooters and organise a taxi when needed.
