Set in Nungwi, 400 metres from Nungwi Beach, Canary Nungwi Hotel & Free SPA offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. I think the best thing to say would be what was there not to like? All communication via booking was excellent and all questions and concerns were addressed! We arrived to the hotel and got an upgrade for free (!!!). The staff went above and beyond - whilst I did not manage to memorize every employee name - every single one of them made us feel welcome, cared for and at home. A special mention to Roger and Muhez for all their help, smiles and friendliness! The room was very good and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very very good and we were always greeted by smiles and warmth by all the staff. There were a lot of options including traditional food and american/european style. There was always fresh fruit which was so sweet and amazing! The dinner was very very good. We mainly went for grilled fish but occasionally tried the pizzas (which were HUGE and super delicious) and the burgers (MASSIVE and delicious also). The grilled food and side dishes were amazing also! If you happen to stay at this hotel I highly recommend you to try their smoothies. The oy thing we regret was not having more of them because they are definitely a MUST! We will definitely stay here again whenever we return and I recommend anyone looking for a hotel super close to the beach (less than 5 minutes) to stay here. The staff, the place and above all the people will make your stay worthwhile!

Located in Pwani Mchangani, 300 metres from Pwani Mchangani Beach, TIANDE Boutique Hotel provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The property is so pretty- the gardens are beautiful and it’s a quick walk to the beach. Although TianDe isn’t directly on the beach, Mariola (the owner) has a friendly relationship with a neighboring hotel that is first row, so guests can spend time there during the day. The bar and restaurant area are lovely and the food is yummy and fresh- we tried breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool is sparkling, and the staff is warm and hard-working. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A/C, tea/coffee, good shower, nice decor. Mariola and her boyfriend live on site- they are doing a fantastic job running TianDe with a lot of hard work and love. We wish them success and will recommend to TianDe to anyone traveling to Zanzibar.

Sunny Villa Matemwe has an outdoor swimming pool, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Matemwe. Our holiday was awesome at the hotel. We really appreciate our host Samir who helped us with everything. He showed us the hotel and answered our questions. He is very friendly and joyful. If you need any help you can always find him in the reception and I’m sure he will be happy to help you or to show you around. The stuff was amazing too specially Aziza. The food is great as well as the rooms are very clean . This is the best place to stay in Zanzibar.💕

Situated in Nungwi, 600 metres from Royal Beach, Daniel Zanzibar Hotel features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We spent 3 days at Daniel’s. We found the service outstanding, the room comfortable, it even had hot water, electricity and wifi!! I left a bag at the hotel by accident. They couriered it to me in Dar es Salaam, free of charge, that day so I could collect it before boarding the train to Zambia. Unbelievably kind. Can not thank them enough for both the stay and helping me out. 11/10

Good food with recipes brought from Poland by owners who have one of the most famous restaurants there. Breakfasts are great and huge - you won't be hungry until early dinner. It's feeling safe and you don't have to worry about your possessions or money getting stolen. The owners are on the premises every day and will interact with you to help you plan your excursions, advise which ones to avoid and find trusted local guides they worked with before so you don't have surprises during any of your excursions. The owners can also recommend food or arrange for something that's not on the menu - I was very satisfied with those alternatives, super tasty.

Situated in Matemwe, a few steps from Matemwe Beach, HEBE Bungalows Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This lodge is a wonderful place. We spent here only a couple of days, after spent 1,5 week on the souther part of the island. Our previous accomodation was "African" style, so a bit nomad without windows on the house or normal water in the bathroom. I thought this is the normal on Zanzibar until we experienced quality of Hebe Bungalow. There is completely European standard or level. You have air condition in the rooms, so you could hold inside temperature around 27-28 celsius which is perfect for sleeping. You can use normal fresh water in the bathroom even for washing your teeth (I had no problem after that). You got fresh drinking water in tho room every day. There is a coffe machine and fridge also in your room what located in a wonderful environment completely next to the beach. Quality of the restaurant and the breakfast is really good with lots of options. And the local staff is made up of very nice people. The owner and his wife are also wonderful people and they strive to meet all your needs.

Facing the beachfront, Mambo Paradise offers 4-star accommodation in Matemwe and features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool and garden. On arrival, the owners welcomed us like we were family. Kasha is a unique person, very kind and gentle who helped us in all the activities we did (even if not booked via them). Always available! The hotel is beautifully situated on the beach, family sized, fantastic terrace for socializing, drinks and food, It fits perfectly in the contest and in this way the service is terrific. It's in front of the sea with great view. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and always clean. We have been eating in the hotel because also the kitchen is very nice. Can I recomend it? yes of course, 100%. Kasha, thanks again for your support, we had a fantastic stay!
