Offering an outdoor pool, spa and on-site restaurant, Drostdy Hotel is located in the beautiful town of Graaff-Reinet, which features over 220 heritage sites. The hotel occupies a whole big block right in the historic center of an old town. It has cute and cosy streets, gardens, restaurant and a pool in the territory. Very good sophisticated breakfast. Rooms are posh and in style. It is like travelling to the past with all the comfort. Light shading is no problem at all, you won't even notice it untill you leave the hotel. Great experience, absolutely a must! In Graaf Reitnet there is plenty of things to see and to do, much more then for one day. We regret we didn't stay more.

Boasting a garden and views of inner courtyard, Acacia Home is a recently renovated guest house set in Graaff-Reinet, 15 km from Valley of Desolation. The hostess was exceptional. She contacted us directly after our booking was madefrom and even booked a restaurant in town. Breakfast was good and made at the time we requested. Rooms was very clean and decorated with so much detail.

Situated in Graaff-Reinet and only 14 km from Valley of Desolation, CatsWhiskers features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. We arrived much later than anticipated. The Host was responsive and available and even met us in the dark to hand the keys over to us. The host thought of every little detail - peaceful night spray, emergency lights charged and ready to go if needed, a carton of fresh milk for coffee, an honor bar with an assortment of beverages for the road weary traveler, a well stocked kitchen with every untensil and dish one would need; fresh fluffy white towels in abundance, comfy duvets and extra blankets in a basket; a container of wood for the fireplace, along with quick start blocks, as well as an outdoor braai ready to go including nice kindling. I travel alot and have stayed in many places all over the world - this Host and accomodation is the BEST I'VE EVER STAYED IN! We felt so fortunate to have found Cats Whiskers!

Featuring quiet street views, The River Bend Cottages features accommodation with patio, around 14 km from Valley of Desolation. Beautiful cottage in a quiet corner of town with tree-lined streets. Secure parking. Seating on porch. Spacious and stylish interior with well-equipped kitchen, lounge area and separate bedroom. Bed was very comfortable. There is information and maps of things to do in the area. Good communication with host. Highly recommended.

Offering mountain views, Toni's Cottage is an accommodation located in Graaff-Reinet, less than 1 km from Graaff-Reinet Railway Station and a 14-minute walk from Reinet House Museum. Toni is an exceptional host and pays a lot of attention to detail. Our doggies and cat was well accommodated and we all slept very comfortably. A very good stop over spot after a long day's driving. Toni kept in contact the whole time to ensure that she is ready for when we arrived. Provisions were also made for loadshedding. And the breakfast was amazing!

Wild Olive Cottage in Graaff-Reinet features accommodation with free WiFi, 11 km from Valley of Desolation and 11.8 km from Urquhart House Museum. The holiday home is 11.9 km from Reinet House Museum.... The location was remote as we like it - off the tar track !! The quiet and farm life atmosphere was great. Wifi connectivity was good and facilities perfect for what we required.
