The Lord Milner Hotel is situated in the historic village of Matjiesfontein in the Karoo region, just of the N1 highway. This Victorian style hotel features a garden and restaurant. It is an amazing hotel and it is like going back in time. Loved our room with the big verandah. The staff was exceptional - we had a dinner reservation and Oom Gert and Jessica treated us so well. The food was delicious. We would have loved to stay another night. The breakfast was once again delicious. After we got a tour from Oom Johnie and he played some songs for us in the bar and it felt like we stepped back in time. He is a gem.It is definitely one of our best experiences on our holiday. We are definitely returning.

Schulteheim Hotel is located in the town centre of Uniondale, Opposite the Historical Dutch Reformed Church designed in 1884 by Famous Carl Otto Hager. The hotel isn't much out of ordinary, but the hospitality & helpfulness of manager Regi, made our short stay in Uniondale memorable and pleasant. The breakfast was great as well.

Hannah and her husband built a little oasis very close to the amazing Karoo Nationalpark where you can see all kinds of wild animals like lions, kudu and zebra. The accomodation was very well equiped and was even nicer as in the pictures - you even have a fireplace inside for cold winterdays and a grill and pool in the garden for a nice BBQ in the summer. Come here and you will feel fully taken care of.
