Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumIt is quite far from public transport, and from main attractions. It is perfect for people who like to walk. Eminonu/Egyptian Bazar, Beyazit Square are at about 20 minutes walk. There are a lot of constructions sites in the area, and in the evening it is not very inviting, but I did not feel unsafe. The property should make clear on Booking that they want to charge in cash or that they ask for 20% tax on credit card payment, so that customers can be prepared. It did not apply to me, but it was asked of me.
The staff is very nice and helpful, the rooms are big, clean, the beds are comfortable, it is quiet most of the time. The breakfast is good, not many options, but what they offer is good. It is very good for people who come to discover the city, and not to spend too much time in the hotel, but want a nood night rest. It is good value for money.

MongoliaEnjoyed comfortable and clean stay with my family. Friendly English speaking receptionist man and owner. Easy access to metro and bus station. Only 3 metro stops to Taksim square. Quiet streets in the evening. Family room was big enough and as it is in its promotion photo. Access to lift or elevator. Thank you for your service!

PolandThe right side of the hotel, in Vefa, is quite unappealing, and almost trashy. The breakfast was typical "Turkish hotel breakfast", which personally I don't think is very varied and tasty. The staff didn't speak English. The walls of the rooms were very thin, as I woke up with people making noise. The normal small double room is quite small, almost without space to open a suitcase. The view from the windows was to a cemetery.
The staff was helpful, especially when something happened and I had to change between rooms. The general quality of the rooms was adequate, taking into consideration the price paid (great value for money). The breakfast room was modern and quite pleasant to be in. The location is walking distance from the Suleymaniye Mosque.

Germanylift starts from the 1st floor so no Lift from the Ground Floor. No one was available/present when we checked out on Friday morning so we needed to leave the keys on the reception table. breakfast was okay and enough I didn’t have high expectations so I was not disappointed anyway I had much better breakfasts in Turkey on previous trips. there were many older looking furnitures in the breakfast room and a lack of glasses. they should invest some money into it with same furnitures for the entire breakfast room. room was okay bathroom was clean but you can see black spots (most probably mold spores) in some areas between the tiles. The curtains were not wide enough to darken the room completely. I was not asked a single time in my 4 nights there whether I need something like towels or sth else. anyway if I asked by myself I got it immediately. in the end staff wasn’t the most motivated and hospitality one but always helped if you would need something. what I recommend to the Hotel is to improve Hospitality and upgrade furnitures and renovate a bit. There is a lot of potential in this Hotel and they should use it!
good Location for sightseeing - Süleymaniye Mosque is just 5-10 Mins walking away and even other Locations can easily be reached by walking like Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque etc. Compared to other Hotels price was reasonable and affordable. We were a family with 2 little children and a baby and they allowed us to sleep in the 3 bed room, what was perfect and enough for us, without any additional costs.

BahrainFor the little money paid for accommodation. The only thing I didn't like was the sound insulation and this is a problem that almost all Istanbul hotels suffer from. These things did not bother me much.
The place where the hotel is located is quiet and there is no disturbance like what is in the Taksim area, the name of the area is vefa, which is a historical area and is located behind the historic Sulaymaniyah Mosque, about 200 meters only. Below the hotel, there is a restaurant that sells popular foods, which is famous in the area, excellent food, and the owner of the famous Turkish ice cream, Vefa Bozaici, is 100 meters away. Everyone in this area is simple, cooperative and always smiling people. Therefore, I extended my stay for a second week in the hotel. And since the first day, the person in charge of the reception asked me about the appropriate time for me to do the daily cleaning of the room, and this is something I did not expect from the hotel.
