This luxurious 5-star retreat has a fine-dining restaurant and romantic bedrooms about 3 km from the Royal Mile. Prestonfield is surrounded by gardens and a golf course. Excellent service, very friendly and attentive staff! Mr Joaquin welcomed us, after a full tour of the house he made sure we were comfortable and everything was in our liking, when I say this man went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect is an understatement. Many thanks! The room was amazing, very clean and tidy. The breakfast is definitely a must, the menu is very interesting and everything we tried was delicious. I'm only sad we didn't have time to stay longer, but that can wait for the next time we visit.

The Scholar is a newly refurbished hotel located in the beautiful grounds of the Pollock Estate, just a few minutes’ walk from Arthurs Seat, Holyrood Park and the Meadows and within walking distance... Staff was exceptional and willing to help with anything we've needed. The room was very spacious, clean, with comfy beds and a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good, and staff was again, exceptional. The hotel is part of the university campus, surrounded by parks, trees, and nature, and there are a lot of students. Altogether it has a very pleasant vibe. You do need to walk like 2 kilometres to reach Royal Mile or Princess Street, but we do like to walk, so we didn't mind. We've rented a car for two days to travel around Scotland, and there was private parking on campus, which was also very useful. We would definitely come back here again.

Just 0.5 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station, this 4-star Ten Hill Place, WorldHotels Distinctive is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and offers free WiFi. Close to transit, central for touring. I left my luggage ahead of check in. When I checked in later that afternoon, I found my luggage had already been taken to my room. Wow! That is the amazing level of service you can expect from this hotel.

Just under 2 miles from Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh Rail Station, International Guest House is a traditional Scottish property offering a free Wi-Fi throughout. Excellent guest house! The beds were super comfy, our room was clean and elegant. Despite it is a very busy street by buses, inside our room we didn’t hear a noise from outside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Welcome to The Scott, where history intertwines with luxury in the heart of Edinburgh's Southside. Everything was wonderful, from the room, to the bathroom, to all the common areas. Breakfast was great value for money and served in a very nice setting.
