“The hotel was very convenient. Lovely staff and they had a simple but nice breakfast.”
“Just less than a kilometer away from Kyoto Station”
“All the staff at The General Kyoto were extremely helpful/kind. Some staff members took the time to give us detailed directions to varioius tourist attractions/recommendations.
My husband and I were particularly impressed with a young member of staff (in training) named Haran Tadd who did a terrific job in preparing/providing daily/evening snacks which included a variety of tasty savoury/sweet goodies and an assortment of drinks which included wine/beer/juice which was an added bonus during our stay. We wish Haran nothing but the very best and know he will be successful in his future studies and whatever career he decides to pursue.
Note the surrounding area of the hotel was quiet and we were able to sleep well. The location was within walking distance to many amazing and beautiful places of interest. Train stations were nearby and convenient.”
“apart from its obvious charms (it’s history, spa and facilities), I was greeted so warmly and looked after as a solo female traveller. The manager of the hotel made extra accommodation to ensure that I get to my train on time, and luckily there are regular public buses very close to the hotel (one bus stop right by the hotel). the hotel was beautiful it’s surroundings incredible, and I got to try a traditional Japanese breakfast that made me feel so happy and special. definitely stay here!”
“Almost everything above all the privacy and the independence”
“Really nice stylish hotel in great location between the food market and night life in fact the Sushi restaurant opposite reception was great. Good transport options very near to get anywhere in Kyoto. Very quiet, spacious and comfortable rooms, everything you'd expect from a hotel of this type. Would happily stay again.”
“Interior. Easy but very modern”
“The extra bed and comfy bed. The location is close to the subway and bus stop.”
