- Right next to Niigata Train station and Shinkansen - Many food and shopping options nearby - Super clean shower and toilet facilities - Very friendly and attentive English speaking staff - Comfortable and clean bedding - Has small television/social/workstation area at entrance to sit and watch Netflix/Amazon Prime or work on laptop - Largish selection of English and Japanese books to read - Summer time and air-con in dormitory was very cool and nice. Need fan inside bunk though (available from front desk).

All Toyoko Inn are similar, I guess. They are good for a short stay and that's it. This one in particular is located right next to the train station (a Shinkansen stop), so I guess it's a good alternative as a temporary stop when going to Kanazawa or Niigata, although I wouldn't recommend it. The TV has some interactive information, including some local information and videos (at least in Japanese). You can leave your bags in the reception after checking out if you need to.

The hotel is just across Niigata Station. Since I arrived before check in, they kept my luggage for me. The single room was a good size, and it even had a sitting area with a table. Room had a humidifier, hangers, fabric freshener, shoe brush. Power outlets near the bed. Water kettle, cups, glasses, refrigerator also available. Bottled water, towels, slippers, pajamas were provided. Loved my stay at Hotel Global View Niigata!

Comfortable business hotel in a lively neighbourhood (so many restaurants!) and super convenient if you're heading to the train station. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a large variety of dishes, some excellent Niigata rice of course, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it compared to the usual business hotel buffet. The room itself was compact but cosy, no complaints.

Nice location - within a 7 min walk from Niigata station. Nice amenities and little extras in the room and the hotel itself - for instance, toiletries in the lobby and the onsen area, mini icecream after onsen, nice ramen in the evening, etc. - lovely surprises. The breakfast is great - with local dishes, such as noppei, included. That's a cool touch.

Neat and cozy room. Wonderful breakfast. We really loved the buffet style breakfast. They provided us with different menu every day. Kind and friendly staffs. Only two minutes away from JR Niigata station. After staying at this hotel, we were out of town to visit other place. When we got back to Niigata, we came back to this hotel. Enjoyed our stay here :)

Juraku Stay Niigata is a convenient short walk from the train station. The room was larger than expected. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and offered a wide selection of both Japanese and western cuisine. Despite being the cheapest of all the hotels I stayed at during my 2 weeks in Japan, it was the one which most surpassed my expectations.

This is a local residential house accomodation and you can get a touch of traditional Japanese housing and living style. Wifi provided is good. Air conditioner works well (good news when you stay in summer). The location is good, easy connecting to Niigata train station via bus. And it is within walking distance to reach many local restaurants.

A great hotel in Niigata. There are many APA hotels around Japan but this one has resort-like facilities with a hot spring, spa, sauna, gym, etc. Located pretty central in Niigata with lots of restaurant and bar options in the are. It is not too far from the station either. If I were to come back to Niigata, I will definitely stay here again.

I loved the staff they were so kind even with the language barrier we did just fine communicating. The breakfast that was offered was simple but enough. The smoothies they serve are so delicious. I definitely would stay here again if I should ever be in Niigata. It is centrally located to all the things we wanted to visit.

I have stayed at the Comfort Hotel chain before. This is an older property but they are all basically the same so you know what you are getting and its pretty standard: Laundry. Breakfast. NO smoking property. However given my comments below I selected another hotel when I returned to Niigata.

The location was great, it is quiet. and the vue in winter is amazing with snow. staff were really helpful and we had free VOD which is not much but still goood to have. I would recommand anyone who is alone and wants to explore niigata to stay here but do not expect much from the hotel

I’ve stayed many times. You can’t be the location and convenience of this hotel as it’s connected to Niigata station and lots of food options close by. Love the breakfast and it’s such a good deal. Front desk staff are always helpful and cheerful.

Very near to the Niigata station. Place is neat and very clean. Allowed late checkout for additional ¥1000 per hour. Breakfast was nice and satisfactory. Allowed luggage storage as early checkin was not allowed. Staff were nice and welcoming.

Staffs were friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and well equipped. Location is good, in between Niigata station and Furumachi, both within walking area. The hotel is not located at the main roads, thus the surrounding was clam and quite.

The views from the hotel were exceptional and a lovely treat! The staff were very friendly and helpful! We had a very very enjoyable stay and would choose it again the next time we’re in Niigata city!

Location is convenient, just a few minutes from Niigata station exit. It’s clean. Wi-Fi speed was good for calls.
