The hotel is not luxurious but has plenty of charm and hard working kind people! We ate a wonderful dinner and breakfast in the hotel and it was delicious and plentiful! We truly enjoyed our visit and the hotel.

We stayed in the beautifully presented cottage. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 with large ensuites). It had everything, from very comfortable beds, board games, parking space to luxurious bathroom accessories. The cottage was located next to the harbour and had a lovely view overlooking the harbour. Luckily, we had the weather and time to relax by sitting outside the cottage to appreciate those views.

What a fantastic hotel by a lake in mid wales. Beautiful views across the water. Ample parking on site. Our bedroom was comfy and nicely decorated with a modern bathroom. Great views across the lake and mountains. Outside space but did not use due to weather. Very comfy bed. The hotel has a great atmosphere and is very comfortable and friendly. All the staff we encounted were great. The food in the restaurant was excellent and all the other guests we met were so very friendly. Breakfast was just as good with plent of choice. We will return.

The location is also superb, right on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog with easy access to mid wales/the coast as well. Look forward to returning in the future.

We had a great room with a fantastic view in the middle of the town. There are a few free parking spaces at the rear of the hotel and as we were there to walk the Offa's Dyke trail I didn't need to move the car at all during our stay. The local train station and buses are just around the corner and we used both. This is a great base to spend time in Mid Wales.

We ate in the hotel 2 nights including the new years eve dinner which was exceptional. Great breakfast offered in a relaxed atmosphere. WOW when you see the location. The hotel sits on a side of a hill that overlooks the lake and lake's valley. View is absolutely magnificent. THe same we thought of the hotel - just as if we transferred to the beginning of the 20th century. TYpical mountaneers style, with lots of timber, evening chill coming from the lake and that special mist that sets when the sun goes down. Our room was cute, cozy, stylish and very comfortable. We both adored the seat in the window sill with cussions and a tea tray. Breakfast was a feast to the mouth and to the eyes since the tables overlook the lake. Stay there at least a couple of nights to get a better impressions and feed yourself with the great atmosphere.
